We want to put in the spotlight the stories of people's cultural identity
Malaika shared her experience:
"My cultural identity is made up of a mix of places, cultures, sub-cultures and languages. Having moved around a lot, I have learnt that my cultural identity is not a fixed physical place but is present in the people I have around me. It is constantly changing but is grounded in my experiences in Uganda, Ethiopia and the United Kingdom. If you were to ask me what my cultural identity was I would not be able to give you a straightforward answer. I could tell you about where I feel most at home: in music and songwriting. Music and creative spaces are where I feel most at peace, where I feel grounded. When I am there, there are no boxes just expression. It's where I feel I truly belong."
